Hello, my name is Madison. I am a junior in High-school enamored with the medical field and plan on pursuing a career as a plastic/cosmetic surgeon when I am older.
Being that I want to pursue a career in medicine, I figured I needed a passion project that conveys just that, so that way colleges and the wider community could see how committed I was to this concept. Concomitantly, I noticed there were very few opportunities for high school students like me to get their research articles published or shared in a professional way. So in April of 2025, I came up with the idea to create Premed Pioneers, a student-led medical research journal designed specifically for high school students passionate about medicine.
The goal of PMP is to provide a platform where students can freely write and submit their research, collaborate with their peers to review said research, create visuals, manage our social media pages, and even take on leadership roles within the organization.
